Does IUS Drummer work without a DAW?

Yes. The IUS Drummer app can run as a standalone application. In standalone mode, audio and MIDI devices are managed from SETUP.

Can I use it as a plug-in?

Yes. IUS Drummer VST3 plug-in runs inside the host DAW, where the host manages device setup, routing, transport, tempo and final bounce or export.

What are Mix A to E?

They are five complete full-kit drum source mixes. They are not separate kick, snare, hat, tom and percussion stems.

What happens if a soundbank is missing?

Hybrid mode can attempt sample playback and use synthetic fallback when a bank is unavailable or incomplete, so the workflow can continue.

Are private models required?

No. Optional private runtime routes may appear in LAB, but fallback behavior means the public workflow can continue when private routes are not installed.

Can DX-1 be used with research-grade or open model workflows?

Yes. DX-1 is designed to support guided workflows around private, research-grade, open and open-source compatible model routes through LAB. Customers can use these workflows for drum generation and sound design experiments while keeping verification, runtime visibility and production control in one place.
